So what is Bastille Day ???

Bastille Day is the French National Day, very similar to our Independence Day aka July 4th. The French, traditionally celebrate their Independence every July 14th where it is called La Fête Nationale (The National Celebration) or commonly Le quatorze juillet (the fourteenth of July). The storming of the Bastille occurred 14 July 1789; the storming of the Bastille was seen by the burgeoning French modern society of the late 1700s and the ending reign of Monarchy.

The avenue Champs-Élysées in Paris holds the Bastille Day Celebration in front.
