FAU names New Head Coach!

      FAU fans should be happy to hear that while the 2011 season was gloomy, the future should be bright for a football program seething with potential.

    There is truly no where to go but up for the Owls and new Head Coach Carl Pelini sees that as nothing but potential for improvement. Coach Pelini put in four seasons with the Nebraska Cornhuskers and he isn't used to losing.  But winning isn't everything to the newly elected Head Coach.

         “I would like to thank the FAU administration and the University community for this opportunity,” said Pelini. “I see great potential here at FAU to build a program of which the entire community will be proud. My vision for this program is to continue the mission of the university to prepare our student-athletes for success well beyond football.”

     The off-field philosophy sounds all good and well, but Owl fans are truly concerned about only one thing, WINS. And if the players care about their future, they'll understand that winning is truly more important after  finishing last year with only 1 win in 12 games. We may have to wait an off-season to see what happens, but if you need your fix before then get ready for the Battle of Florida January 21st, 2012 right here at FAU Stadium!
